The Summer

We had a great summer! The first half of our summer was spent planning for camp. I direct our district church camp so that kept us all pretty busy! I was very worried that we wouldn't meet our required minimum number of campers- but I don't know why I worry- God always makes it work! It was definitely nothing that I did- but in the end we had more than enough. I believe we had about 534 people total (min required was 500). It was a blast! Of course, I guess I am a bit biased... Mateo is still too young for camp so he stayed with my great friend Michelle. The rest of the summer we spent some much needed time hanging out with friends and visiting family. We had a blast in Quitman with my dad and family. The kids played and swam and we visited a fun water park. We also spent a little time with my Grammy in Crockett. We visited the library and shopped in town. Our final trip of the summer was to Austin to see my sister, Kim, graduate from Culinary School... We are so proud of her! We ate at her restaurant and it was SO GOOD! While in Austin we toured the state capital and took all kinds of fun (posed) pics! My mom says that my kids and I are a perfect fit because they love posing for all my crazy pictures! Basically we had a great time together! Here is a little taste of what we did... ENJOY!
